In addition, the heartbeat is slowed down, breathing is deepened and muscle tension is reduced. ​In the past weeks I have spoken with Wim Hof & many Wim Hof Instructors about the Corona Virus & how we can strengthen our immune system with the Wim Hof Method. If you are interested in the topic - I recommend these  two podcasts:

What I find most striking, is that inhibiting the IL-6 inflammatory protein will reduce symptoms of the coronavirus.​  Currently some pharma companies (Roche, Regeneron, EUSA Pharma) are researching are and testing IL-6 antagonists to treat COVID-19. What is so interesting about that?! Well the Wim Hof Method has been shown to reduce IL-6 Levels!!!

In 2014 the Radboud University in the Netherlands published a study about the Wim Hof Method. They tested 24 men. Twelve of them were trained in the Wim Hof Method - the other 12 served as control. They injected LPS into all of these 24 men - which causes a strong inflammatory reaction (fever, headache, increased IL-6 & other inflammatory messengers). Interestingly, the 12 men trained in the Wim Hof Method, which were practising the Wim Hof Breathing during the entire experiment length showed lower levels of inflammation and symptoms. Yes, they also showed significantly lower IL-6 Levels!

Additionally, in the trained men, the anti-inflammatory protein IL-10 increased, as well as white blood cells like lymphocytes, monocytes and neutrophils - which all help to fight of bacteria and viruses! I am quite excited about this research!

Die Wim Hof Methode wurde von dem Niederländer Wim Hof entwickelt, der mehr als 20 Weltrekorde hält, darunter den Rekord für das längste Eisbad (fast 2 Stunden). Möglich macht dies eine von ihm entwickelte Technik, welche auf drei Säulen beruht: Atem, Kälte und Mentaltraining. 

Die WHM-Atemtechnik ist eine Kombination von bewusster Hyperventilation und Atemretention. Diese kraftvolle Atmung führt in einen tiefen Entspannungszustand und aktiviert so nicht nur die Selbstheilungskräfte sondern senkt auch nachweislich die Entzündungsmarker im Blut, reduziert das Schmerzempfinden und aktiviert die spezifische Immunabwehr (Kox et al., 2014).

Seit 7 Wochen bin ich im Norden Thailands (Chiang Mai) und widme meine Zeit verschiedenen Weiterbildungen im Bereich STRESSREDUKTION, REIKI und FRAUENHEILKUNDE.  Gerade bin ich von einem 10 tägigen Womblifting Lehrgang zurück. Ein super faszinierendes Thema.  

Womb Lifting ist eine alte, traditionell thailändische Massage - und zwar nicht nur für Frauen!

Die Gebärmutter wird von Bändern an ihrem Platz gehalten und durch Muskeln des Beckenbodens und des umliegenden Bindegewebes unterstützt. Durch bestimmte Einflüsse kann sich die Position der Gebärmutter im Becken jedoch verändern. Sie kann nach rechts oder links oder nach vorne/hinten kippen.

Risikofaktoren:

• Stürze (besonders auf das Kreuz- oder Steissbein),
• Schwangerschaften, Geburten, Fehlgeburten oder Ausschabungen,
• chronische Verstopfung (starkes Pressen), 
• schweres Heben besonders während der Periode, wenn das Gewebe weicher ist.

Mögliche Folgen sind:

• verminderter Durchblutung der Gebärmutter und Eierstöcke,
• Probleme schwanger zu werden, 
• Rückenschmerzen,
• Blasenschwäche / Blasensenkung,
• Menstruationsbeschwerden / PMS,
• Kopfschmerzen / Migräne, 
• chronischen Nackenverspannungen.

​Ziel der Behandlung ist es, die Durchblutung im gesamten Becken zu verbessern und die Gebärmutter wieder in die richtige Position zu bringen.​ Während der Massage, welche 2-3 Stunden dauert und bekleidet stattfindet, werden über 50 Akkupressurpunkte an Beinen, Becken, Bauch und Rücken behandelt.  

Bisher habe ich keine Praxisräume in Potsdam oder Berlin - ich wandle aber gerne unser Wohnzimmer zum Behandlungsraum für euch um.
